He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Brooks; his daughter Tuawond Lattimore (Mike); his sisters, Mary Brooks and Rebecca King; his cousins, Wanda Dale Smith, Francine Brooks, Ricky Brooks and Roger Bruce; Joyce Ford. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
