We announce the death of Sarah Burton of Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 97. Sarah will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Sarah’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eugene Sr. Seaborn and Gladys Goodwin Seaborn; and her children, Johnnie Mae Simpson, Angela Grayson of Greenville, SC and John Burton, Jr. (Janice). She was also cherished by six grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
