He was predeceased by: his wife Annette Crawford Hanley; his parents, Lyndon Hanley and Karen Phillips Nix; his son Chase Cobb; and his parents-in-law, Carl and Jeanette Crawford.
He is survived by: his daughters, Danica Hanley (Harvey Brown) of Anderson, Alisha Boutwell of Pickens and Brandie Baker (Roc) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Jazzmine Lawrence, Alyza Boutwell, Kayley Lanier and Timothy Boutwell; his great grandchildren, Alice Lear, Braylen Webb, Azlyn Grace and Journi Maye; his siblings, Missi Porter and B. J. Hanley; and his stepbrothers, Bubba Heath, Sammy Heath and Everett Hanley.
