He is survived by: his wife Jan McAtee; his children, Travis McAtee (Crystal), Kevin McAtee (Stacy) and Stephanie McAtee Mills; his siblings, Randy McAtee (Brenda) and Jenny Davis; his grandchildren, Krystin Vargo (Mark), Skyler McAtee (Eden), Gabbi Mills, Luke McAtee, Raegan Mills and Rylee Mills; his great grandchildren, Ace Vargo, Stella Vargo, Miller Vargo and Mallory McAtee; and his close friend Andy Long.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Graceland West Cemetery (4814 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Steve's honor to Pruitt Hospice.
