He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Sue Cumbus Conger; his parents, Owen Conger and Marguerite Gumeson Conger; his siblings, Kaye Bee Houts and David Bruce Conger; his nephew John Houts; and his siblings-in-law, John "Johnny" Houts, John Cumbus and Brenda Cumbus.
He is survived by: his children, Meg Ason (Jeff) and Mark Conger; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Conger and George Cumbus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
