He was predeceased by: his parents, David Wardlaw Gambrell and Tina Gambrell. He is survived by: his sisters, Julie Gambrell of Greenville, Lisa Gambrell (Lynn Telford) of Black Mountain and Barbara Yonce of Greenville; and his sister-in-law Dr. Lynn Telford. He is also survived by cousins and a special aunt.
