He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Simmons and Mildred Finley Simmons; and his brothers, Ricky Dean Wooten and Roger Dale Wooten. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Anschutz Wooten; his sons, Jonathan Anschutz, Shaun Wooten (Angel) and Travis Wooten (Ashley Hopkins); his sister-in-law Michelle Wise McClure (Scott); his siblings, Brenda Elrod and Pat Wooten; his grandchildren, Katherine Stewart, Elana Stewart, Isabella Stewart, Elijah Wooten and Ember Wooten; his siblings' children, Jamie Wooten and Cindy Wooten; and his friends, Nettie Foster, Gaylon Hart (Jo-Ann) of Delas, House and Danny Childress.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Palmetto Mortuary (1017 Mauldin Rd, Greenville, SC 29607). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Palmetto Mortuary (1017 Mauldin Rd, Greenville, SC 29607).
