Veronica Dee Lucas Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Veronica Dee Lucas (Greenville, South Carolina), born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on May 17, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Veronica may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Veronica touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent J. D.; her husband Gary F. Lucas; and her sons, Gary Evan, Matthew Gregory and James Hampton. She was also cherished by her three sons, their spouses and seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the World Wildlife Fund, to adopt either a bear or an owl in her memory or to The Alzheimer's Association.
