He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman M. Mangels and Gertrude D. Tiedeman Mangels Clayton; his wife Shirley; his daughter Jennifer; and his brothers, Glen and Leo Mangels.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Mangels of Chicago and Stephanie Mangels Watson of Ball Ground, GA; his grandsons, Nicholas, Samuel and Matthew Watson; his sister Sandra; and his siblings-in-law, Loyd Fleming of Omaha, NE and Marlene McVay of Tustin, CA.
