He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe W. McMahan and Frances Hawkins McMahan; his son Greg McMahan; his granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth McMahan; his sister Linda Jo Herd; and his son-in-law Hunter Berry.
He is survived by: his son Eric McMahan (Debra Evatt) of Abbeville; his daughter-in-law Ann McMahan Berry of Ninety Six; his grandchildren, Kayla Beaty (Jason), Brittany Futch (Nick), Daniel Bouknight (Lydia) and Jay McMahan; his great grandchildren, Emory, Wilson Bouknight, Greyson, Graham, Campbell Futch, Allie Thomas, Rhett and Reid Beaty; his siblings, Mike McMahan (Cathy) of Belton and Shirley Wilson of Belton; and his close friend Ruby Sullivan.
