It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis L. Smiley of Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis Smiley and Polly Whelchel Smiley Bell; his children, Travis Smiley and April Holcombe; his grandchildren, Zach and Tyler Holcombe; and his brothers, Ricky, Terry and Harry Lee Smiley.
He is survived by: his wife Polly Ann Norris Smiley; his son Jonathan Smiley of Gaffney; his stepdaughter Tracy Tucker of Clinton; his grandchildren, Jared, Haley, Jordan, Jacob, Jalyn, Joey, Jonathan, Ema and Kade; his mother-in-law Polly Norris; his siblings-in-law, Alvin Norris of Saluda and Susan Gillian of Georgia; his mother-in-law Helen Coyle of Gaffney; and his sister-in-law Mary Doomernick. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles.
