He was predeceased by: his spouse Cleo Canfield Farmer; his parents, William Haskell Farmer and Lessie Mae Land Farmer; and his son-in-law Grady Steadman. He is survived by: his children, James Roy Sanders, Jr. (Debra) of Friendship, TN, Lynn Steadman of Greenwood and Freda Farmer Caylor (Matt) of Virginia Beach, VA.
