He is survived by: his children, Francis Chesley Brooks, Nancy Brooks Newlon (Jon), Amy Brooks Van Gurp (Rick) and Mary Allison Brooks Pettigrew (John); his grandchildren, Jon Brooks, Caroline, Katie, Anna, Richard, Carolina and Amelia; and his great grandchildren, Camilla and Madeline Brooks.
