He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thompson and Lela Malone Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Michelle Thompson, Aleshia T. Downey (Jeff) and Debbie Terry; and his sister Joyce Wilkerson of Lake Murray, SC. He is also survived by three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to South Main Baptist Church, PO Box 1093, Greenwood, SC 29648.
