She was predeceased by: her husband John Andrew Dence; and her parents, Thomas Crawford and Sarah Dugger Crawford. She is survived by: her sons, Thomas Hairston (Jennifer) of Greenwood, SC, Andy Dence (Shayna) of Alabama and Scott Dence (Amber Joyner) of New York; and her siblings, Ellen Giles, Jimmy Crawford (Olivia) and Jack Crawford (Judy). She is also survived by six grandchildren.
