He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Allen Roberts; his son Captain Tony Roberts; his daughter-in-law Catherine "Cathy" Barre Roberts; his granddaughter Jeri Nesbeth Roberts; and his siblings, Mildred Matthews, Mayola Collins, Novenia "Novie" Hammond, Louella Bailey, Shirley Maxine Roberts, Wilford, Ben, Jimmy, Russell, Lee and Cecil Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Nesbeth Darlene Roberts; his daughter Denise Hill (Rick); his grandchildren, Valerie Holland (Bruce), Alesia Vandiver (Barry), Cassie Dixon (Brad) and Stevie Hill (Ginger); and his great grandchildren, Sarahbeth Davis, Maily Ngo, Nora, Mya Dixon and Emily Vandiver.
