He is survived by: his mother Geraldine Teague Mathis of Gastonia, NC; his wife Sherri Mathis; his siblings, Donna Huggins (David) of Dallas, NC and Scott Mathis (Terry) of Dallas, NC; his children, Lisa Withers (Brett) of Gastonia, NC, Allison Mathis of Anderson, SC, Kelly Padget (Chuck) of Saluda, SC, Franky Mathis Jr. of Greenwood, SC. and Michael Mathis Sr. of Greenwood, SC.; his grandchildren, Brandon Bryson (Lacie) of Kings Mountain, NC, Timmie Mathis (Kayla) of Greenwood, SC, Justin Mathis of Greenwood, SC, Ashton Laughlin (Mary) of Greenwood, SC, Sarah Mathis of Greenwood, SC and Maddie Padget of Saluda, SC; his mother-in-law Carolyn Madden; and his grandson Michael Mathis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
