With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harry Eugene Stephens of Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on September 22, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Loving Stephens and Elsie Mae Powell Stephens; and his siblings, James L. Stephens, Jr., Jack Stephens and Pat Locher.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Stephens (Barbara) of Charlotte, NC, Lisa Shimakonis (Chris) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Gary Stephens (Wendy) of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Katherine Coton (JP), Chase, Chad Shimakonis, Alex and Ally Stephens; and his brother Ralph Terry Stephens of Columbia.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Greenwood (722 Grace St, Greenwood, SC 29649).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Greenwood, Meals on Wheels, or Traditions Hospice.
