He was predeceased by: his parents, Connie Reynolds Rapley and George Rapley, Sr.; and his siblings, Reynold, James, William Rapley, Lois, Julia and Georgia Mae Rapley.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lomax Rapley; his children, Bridgette Rapley of Greenwood, Melody Whetsel (Thomas) of Greenwood and Herbert Rapley, Jr. of Greenwood; his siblings, Minnie Holloway (Robert) of Maryland and Charles Rapley of Greenwood; and his sisters-in-law, Mattie Christopher (Willie) of Greenwood and Sara Cato of Florence. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
