It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Clayton Gilbert of Greenwood, South Carolina, born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, who passed away on July 31, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R Gilbert and Lasora M Martin Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Naoma Gilbert; his brother Carroll R. Gilbert of Alabama; his daughter Lacinda Gilbert Scott (Cindy); and his son-in-law Kenneth Scott of Greenwood, SC. He is also survived by his family and friends.
No flowers are requested and a private graveside service will be held at the Good Hope Masonic Cemetery in Good Hope, WV.
