With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Ray Davis Sr. of Greenwood, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 12, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Anderson Davis and James Tillman Davis; his son-in-law Danny Dykes; and his sister-in-law Joey Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Babb Davis; his children, James Ray Davis, Jr. of Greenwood, Julie Dykes Dutton (Tommy) of Greenwood, Jill Davis of Greenwood and Joy Davis of Greenwood; his grandchildren, Madison Jett (Payton) of Greenville, Davis Dykes of Orlando, Florida and Amber Ashley of Greenwood; his sister Peggy Andrews (Kenny) of Greenwood; his niece Stephanie Frick; and his sisters-in-law, Debbie Babb and Sandy Babb.
