He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vernon Surrett and Essie Mae Love Surrett; and his siblings, Ruby Adams, Burrell Surrett, Elmer Surrett and Odell Surrett.
He is survived by: his children, Jeannie Davis (Tracy), Ronda Gibson (Daniel), Crystal Dixon (Risner Wood), Jesse Eugene Surrett, II (Shae) and Ray Surrett (Alicia); his siblings, Polly McCuen (Jimmy Ray), JB Surrett (Linda) and Lewis Surrett; and his sister-in-law Nancy Surrett. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren.
