He was predeceased by: his father Kermit Gorman; his brother Sammy Robert Gorman; and his granddaughter Summer Gorman. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Faulkner Gorman; his sons, James Delman Gorman (Sherri), Daniel Kermit Gorman, Wendall Dee Gorman (Debra) and Jason Darrell Gorman (Shanon); his sisters, Sandra Cobb and Beverly Horner of Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Timothy Gorman, Trevor Gorman, Kasey Corbin (Aaron), Emily McFerrin, Isaac Gorman, Charles Geddings, II (Jennifer), Austin Davis and Layla Gorman Overholt (Ben).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Market Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the baseball team at Greenwood American Legion Post 20, PO Box 50586, Greenwood, SC, 29649.
