He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Nathan Chapman and Rhoda Powell Chapman; and his siblings, Elbert, Curtis, Kenneth Chapman, Inez Morgan, Allenby Adcock, Betty Morgan and Effie Mae Rackley.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Chapman; his son J. Mark Chapman (Marty Chapman); his grandchildren, Mac and Hamilton Chapman; his son Matt Chapman (Angie Chapman); his grandson Jake Chapman (Kim); his great grandchildren, Ellis and Isaac; his grandchild Chandler Skelly (Stephen); his great grandchildren, Nicholas and Addie Kate; his grandchild Texanna Woodard (Dalton); his great grandchild Izzy Chapman; his daughter Elizabeth Dykes (Donald Dykes); and his grandchildren, Grant (Rachel) and Heather Dykes.
