He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Scott and Ivy Davis Scott; his stepdaughters, Serena Steifle and Patti Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Franklin, Richard Johnson, Gregory Smith and Anna Goforth; his siblings, Murray, Roy, Ned, Floyd Scott, Lois Major, Louise Brown, Jean Watts and Peggy Gardo; and his nephew Stanley Scott.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, June Smith (Ansel), Paula Bourne, Pamela Moats and Debbie Massey; his stepgrandchildren, Angie Hunt (Tony), Chaney Wilson, Eric Steifle, Lisa Callaham, Amy Saggus (Mike), Whit Bourne and Nicolas Massey; and his sibling's child Charlie.
