With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Marshall Scott (Greenwood, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Scott and Ivy Davis Scott; his stepdaughters, Serena Steifle and Patti Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Franklin, Richard Johnson, Gregory Smith and Anna Goforth; his siblings, Murray, Roy, Ned, Floyd Scott, Lois Major, Louise Brown, Jean Watts and Peggy Gardo; and his nephew Stanley Scott.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, June Smith (Ansel), Paula Bourne, Pamela Moats and Debbie Massey; his stepgrandchildren, Angie Hunt (Tony), Chaney Wilson, Eric Steifle, Lisa Callaham, Amy Saggus (Mike), Whit Bourne and Nicolas Massey; and also Charlie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tranquil United Methodist Church (1702 McCormick Hwy, Greenwood, SC 29646). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
