He was predeceased by: his parents, Ada Carter and Henry Carter. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sayles Carter; his daughters, Kimberly Barksdale (Dexter) of Greenwood and Montrez Bailey (Anthony) of Spartanburg; his stepchildren, Stacey Lindsey Quarles (Clifton) of Greenwood, Ken Lindsey (Demetria) of Simpsonville, Demecus Sayles and Brytavius Quarles; his siblings, Willie Ray Carter (Nell) of Greenwood and Sarah Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Carter of Greenwood, Ella Roundtree (Alvin) of Greenwood and Eddie Mae Sayles of Greenwood; and his grandchild Fourteen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
