She was predeceased by: her child J. D. Scott; her sister Ann B. Collins; her son-in-law Don Fields; and her parents, Eddie Brooks and Helen Sue Thompson Bryan.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald Wayne Nettles; her children, Kathie (Daniel George), Lesa Fields of Gainesville, GA and David (Sara Scott); her grandchildren, Chris, Katy and Jaime; her great grandchildren, Chase, Cooper of Sydney, J. D., Kadyn, Savannah and Anderson; and her siblings, Barbara Heard (Billy) and Eddie Brooks Bryan (Cathie).
