He was predeceased by: his parents, August Hanke and Auguste Kruger Hanke; and his sister Ursula Hanke Davy. He is survived by: his wife Karin Louise Bentien Hanke; his stepsons, Dean Nolte of Akron, OH and Andre Nolte (Sherry) of Bluffton, SC; and his stepgrandchildren, Madeleine, Lorelyn and Garrett Nolte.
