He was predeceased by: his parents, Barry S. Hughes and Margaret Culbertson Hughes; his former wife Patricia Thomas Hughes; his son-in-law Jim Davis; and his grandson Lee Youngblood.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Carithers Hughes; his daughters, Nikki Davis of Hodges, Kimberly Edwards (David) of Hodges and Gwen Pollan (Greg) of Mansfield, TX; his stepdaughter Stephanie Coffey (Mike) of Hodges; and his sisters, Mary Davis (Billy Joe) of Greenwood, Helen Montjoy of Greenwood and Nancy Price of Abbeville. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
