With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Fortson Anderson (Greenwood, South Carolina), who passed away on November 14, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James A. Anderson; her parents, Paul Estes Fortson and Mary Pope Moore Fortson; her sons, Norman B. Anderson and James Randall Anderson; her great grandchild James Ashton Anderson; her brothers, Edwin Fortson and Otis Fortson; and her son-in-law Charlie Wiggins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan A. Billen (Jerry) of Hodges and Carol A. Wiggins of Cookeville, TN; her grandsons, Ron Anderson (Temple) of Greenwood, Don Anderson (Jamie) of Greenwood and Harrison Billen (Bailey) of Lakeland, TN; her brother Norman Fortson of Charlotte, NC; and her daughter-in-law Mary Frances Anderson of Greenwood. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
