“Knew Mike well, from way back, over 30yrs. Since the Jackson Station days, where we often played together. He was a great musician and fine friend. We musically supported each other a lot then. With him never failing to call me often, inviting me to play with him. Where we'd alternate sets. Giving the other a chance to relax. Never allowing him to pay me. One of the few guys I knew that could sing all night and never play the same song twice! I miss him.”
