He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Shelton and Helen Shelton; his son Ralph Banks, Jr.; and his sister Virginia Chambers. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Shelton; his children, Shelby Duensing (Jim), Cathy Gillespy (John) and Michael Shelton (Kate); his daughter-in-law Janie Banks; and his nieces, Debbi Mattox, Jennifer Chambers, Ashley Chambers and Maggie Saunders. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
