She was predeceased by: her husband Jasper McNair Gettys; her parents, Preston Tillman Jacobs and Macie Griffin Jacobs-Bell; her children, Kay Phillips, Hugh Gettys and Keith Gettys; her daughter-in-law Sandra Gettys; and her brothers, Tillman Jacobs and Emil Jacobs.
She is survived by: her sons, Jack Gettys of Wallace, SC, Phillip Gettys of Greenwood and David (Jean Gettys) of Greenwood. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
