We are sad to announce that, on January 30, 2021, at the age of 62, Owen Downey (Greenwood, South Carolina) passed away. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Silas Downey and Nina Mobley Downey; his brothers, Paul L. Downey and James Dennis Downey; and his niece Nina Bates.

He is survived by: his wife Helene Hasting Downey; his children, Brandon Wesley Downey (Kristen) and Andrea Norman (Casey) of Abbeville; his siblings, Pamela D. Young (Ricky) of Greenwood, David Timothy Downey (Viola) of Osterholz and Jeffrey Edward Downey (Lisa) of Greenwood; and his granddaughter Hollis M. Norman. He is also survived by fifteen nieces and nephews and twenty-two great nieces and nephews.
