She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Deacon Bennie Lee Thomas; her daughters, Angela Gaines (Tony) of Greenville, SC, Dr. Benita Pope (Lee) of Hillsborough, NC and Natasha Witt (Clement) of Mebane, NC.; and her sisters, Patricia Greene (Henry) of West Columbia, SC and Marcella Strong of Greenwood, SC.. She was also cherished by 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 3 godchildren.
