He was predeceased by: his parents, David Thomas Gilchrist and Gladys Marion Willis Gilchrist; and his sister Gail Hudgens. He is survived by: his wife Alice Harmon Gilchrist; his brother Richard B. Gilchrist; his sister-in-law Julie Rhodes; his nephew Nicholas "Nik" Gilchrist (Carly); his great-niece Tiller Gilchrist; and his close friends, Lee, Donna Foster and Leigh Gambrell.
