He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Lee and Annie Mae Padgett; his daughter Alice Padgett Searles; and his siblings, Otha Mae Tucker, Charlie and Willie Lee Padgett.
He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Brown Padgett; his children, Latarsha Padgett, Ebony Padgett, Feleicia Spencer and Donovan Brown; his sister Eva Talbert of Hodges, SC; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby Joe Brown and Jessie James Brown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Percival - Tompkins Chapel (330 Magnolia Ave, Greenwood, SC 29646).
