He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. David Thomas and Almenia Locklair Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Julia Monroe Gordon; his children, Dane Gordon (Wendy) and Ashley Cate (Mike); his siblings, Bo Thomas (Kelly) and Talia Murphy (John); his grandchildren, Abigael, John Thomas Gordon, Evan Teeters, Trace and Caroline Cate; and his sister-in-law Caroline Whitmire. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
