It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne O. McElroy Sr. (Greenwood, South Carolina), who passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallman McElroy and Maude Ella Lindsey McElroy; his children, Irene K. Ramos, Teresa Hicks and Wayne "Junior" McElroy, Jr.; and his brothers, Hugh Lee McElroy and Ralph Hill McElroy.
He is survived by: his daughter Eilene Webber (Benjamin) of Greenwood; his children-in-law, Gary Hicks of Morristown, Tennessee and Melissa McElroy of Greenwood; and his brothers, Gene McElroy (Angie) and John R. Ronnie McElroy. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
