He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Newton, Sr. and Agnes Newton; and his sister Betts Newton. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne "Sue" Newton; and his children, Kathy Newton, Cindi Floyd (Fred), Jodi Lloveras (David), Brad Newton (Susan), Tom Newton (Donna), Mark Newton (Katie) and Matt Newton (Jennifer Zakriski). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
