He was predeceased by : his children, Natalie Niemitalo, Carly Niemitalo and Max Niemitalo; his brother David Niemitalo; and his brother-in-law Fratt Aho.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Niemitalo of Lyman; his children, Nicole Knuuttila (Jacob) of Lyman, Jessica Sarkela of Lyman, Bethany Goddard (Justin) of Lyman, Malachi Niemitalo (Kimberlee) of Lyman, Michael Niemitalo of Lyman, Miles Niemitalo of Lyman and Lucas Pantarotto of Lyman; his siblings, Brian Niemitalo (Shana) of Inman, Craig Niemitalo of Idaho, Scott Niemitalo (Karen) of North Carolina, James Niemitalo (Heidi) of Washington, Linda Mattson (Glen) of Oregon, Donna Weisser (Tom) of Washington, Debbie Aho of Greer and Patti Juuti (Shane) of Greer; his grandchildren, Blakely, Tessla, Cashton, Kenna Rae, Haven, Rowan, Liv and Kade; and his pets, Willie and Nelson. He is also survived by his family and many friends.

“I remember years ago, when I first purchased a home on Bethany Ct., a subdivision that Bruce had built. Once he found out that I was a pilot, we hit it off right away with our interest in aviation. At first, I thought I would be the one helping him by helping him to finish completing his Pilot Certificate. It soon became apparent that he would end up helping me 10,000 times more than I could ever dream of helping him. To have someone like him as a friend and neighbor was such a blessing.”
