She was predeceased by: her spouse Jerry Hugh McMakin; her parents, Lewis Horne and Estelle Dabbs Horne; and her siblings, J. D. Horne, Aubrey Horne, Robert Horne, Cham Horne, Grady Horne, Harold Horne, Ruth Montgomery and Gladys Revis.

She is survived by: her son Shannon McMakin of Taylors; and her grandson Chandler McMakin of Taylors.
