He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Carlos and Mary Jeanette Long Gambrell; his son Craig Gambrell; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Gambrell and Marie Gambrell.

He is survived by: his son Richard Gambrell (Kelly) of Mill Spring; his brothers, Steven Gambrell (Elizabeth) of Greer, Gerald Gambrell of Greer and Danny Gambrell of Greer; and his granddaughter Ginny of Mill Spring.

Memorials may be made to Upstate Community Hospice House, 260 Fairwinds Drive, Landrum, South Carolina 29356.
