He was predeceased by: his wife Debra G. Young; his parents, Ralph Young and Kate Young; his siblings, Doris Bryant and Dale Young; and his close friend Billy Cantrell.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Young (Hunter), Chann Moore (Martie), David Temple (Tammy), Shannon West (Eddie), Annette Temple and Michele Mills (Johnny); his grandchildren, Joshua, Macayla, Pierce, Abigail, Channing, LeeAnn, Jennifer, Daniel, Eric, Dustin, Zachery, Stephanie, Johnny and Zachary; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Noah, Hadleigh, Rowan, Sawyer, Alaina, Scarlett, Nigel, Chloe, David, Drennon, River, Eli, Jaxson, Connor, Ella, Jeremiah and Ellianna; and his close friends, Robin Moore, Tim Thorne and Bo Smith.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Palmetto Mortuary (1017 Mauldin Rd, Greenville, SC 29607). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Greenville Humane Society.
