He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Nellie Runion Vaughn; his daughter Angela "Angie" Vaughn; and his sisters, Lena Wilson and Rita Copeland.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Ford Vaughn; his children, Timothy "Tim" Vaughn (Shawn) of Greer, Ted Vaughn (Lynn) of Greer, Cynthia "Cindy" Waldrop of Greer and Jeffrey "Jeff" Vaughn of Greer; and his sister Wilma Vaughn Needham of New Bern. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
