He was predeceased by: his sister Linda Rynders; and his grandson Job Grant Sewell. He is survived by: his wife Beatrix "Trixi"; his daughter Heather Lynn Sewell (Eric) of Asheville, NC; and his brother Ralph Edward Grant III (Camille).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Praise Cathedral, 3390 Brushy Creek Road, Greer, South Carolina 29650.
