She was predeceased by: her mother Pauline Bradley Rogers; her husband J. C. Sweet; her son Michael Jay Sweet; and her sisters, Doris McAbee and Barbara Sewell.
She is survived by: her son Rev. Greg Sweet (Lisa) of Surfside Beach; her daughter-in-law Becky Sweet of Greenville; her grandchildren, Dr. Brandi Van Patton (Matthew) of Greer, Jeff Sweet (Patty) of Taylors, Rev. Neal Sweet (Jessica) of Jackson and Rev. Nathan Sweet (Kelli) of Surfside Beach; and her great grandchildren, Ellaree Grace, Kees, Margaret, Wynn Van Patton, Connor, Asa Sweet, Tripp, Logan, Anna Grace, Sophia Rose Sweet, Jayson and Danielle Sweet. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as some cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
