Harry Lee Tate Sr. Obituary

He was predeceased by: his wife Polly Howard Jones Tate; his parents, William Boyd and Beulah Harris Tate; and his children, Paula Tate Brown, Andrea Tate Smith, Harry Lee Tate, Jr. and William "Bill" Howard Tate.

He is survived by: his daughter Bonne Tate Johnson (Randy) of Taylors; his grandchildren, Laura Johnson Sirois (Roger) of Greer, Lisa T. Curwen (Colt) of Moncks Corner and Cayce M. Tate of Charlotte; and his great grandchildren, Derrick Sirois, Dalaney Sirois, Ryland Curwen and Tatum Curwen.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Greer First Baptist Church (201 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In honor of Mr. Tate's love for all animals, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenville Humane Society, 305 Aiport Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29607.
