He was predeceased by: his parents, Whitney E. Davis and Pearl A. Davis; his stepmother Mae Ivey Adams Davis; and his siblings, Elizabeth Lawson Spruill (Bit), Whitney Egerton Davis, Jr. and Leland A. Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Buckner Davis; his grandchildren, Kayla Hendricks, Hannah McKinley, Robert, Lucy Davis, Sam Shelley, Fletcher Crean, Flynn Crean and Dr. Andrew Dargie; and his former wife Shirley G. Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Boys Town, the Shriners Hospital, or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
