He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver James "Bud" and Rachel Sadie Johnson Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Ann Barton Smith; his children, Chris Smith (Taj) of Rock Hill and Laura Smith King (Ryan) of Greer; his siblings, Roger Smith (Tiffany) of Inman and Ann Mitchem of Greer; and his grandchildren, Christin Smith, Drayton Stafford, Bailey Stafford, Skylar Martin, Aden Orr and Ayan Orr.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
